SURF LESSONS
Private or Group surf lessons
Beginner lessons, the first 30 minutes of each lesson is done on the beach, covering board design and dynamics, wave dynamics, ocean safety, surfing safety, surf etiquette, pop-up technique and form. The remainder of your time is spent in the water surfing with your instructor. After booking online you will receive an automated email confirmation with your lesson date and time, and the address where to meet.

SINGLE PERSON LESSONS MAY BE COMBINED WITH 1 OR MORE OTHER SINGLE PERSON LESSONS.

Single PERSON LESSONS- We will try to accommodate your request for a private lesson, however there is only a 50% chance of that happening, especially on weekends.
If we add you to another lesson, it will only be other single person lessons. there will not be more than 3 people in your lesson, usually only 2 .
It is very important that you leave all pertinent personal information when booking so we can combine you
with similar age, fitness, sex, and skill level individuals.
You will be contacted before your lesson and informed of any changes.
We will try to get all participants as close to their original requested time as possible.
If we ask you to combine with another lesson and you are unwilling we may cancel of reschedule your lesson.
If we can not accommodate your request for a private lesson, you will have to option to cancel your lesson with a full refund.
FYI, our instructors are so good you that doing a lesson with up to 4 people is like doing a private lesson.

The beginner group surf lesson is for lesson with people with no or very little surf experience.
The 1st 30 minutes of class will begin with a beach lesson going over all the fundamentals of surfing.
The advance beginner surf lesson is best for beginners whom have done a previous surf lessons WITH KAPOWUI.
There will be a 5 minute beach pop up refresher and then straight into the water.
Only sign up for this class if you have had a previous beach lesson with us covering the fundamentals of surfing.
The class size varies from 3 to 10 participants, 1 to 3 instructors depending conditions, and all equipment is included. This is for adults only (18+).
If there are less than 3 people or the conditions a not conducive for a good lesson, the class will be canceled and you will receive a credit towards next group lessons, refund, or you can pay the additional $25 for a private lesson. This includes a 20% discount for the inconvenience.
Surf Lessons

Intermediate lessons 5 minutes on beach, the remainder of your time is spent in the water surfing with your instructor.
Be aware SUP LESSONS usually need to be rescheduled or canceled 50% of the time due to surf being to big. We will notify you as soon as possible. If you would like you can substitute your SUP lesson for a surf lesson.
Our LA county permits allows us to do a 1/7 instructor to student ration. However we want to give you the greatest experience so when booking your group we provide a 1/5 instructor to student ration and a 1/3 during challenging conditions. If you book a group and want a greater instructor to student ratio there is an addition charge of $100 per requested instructor.

We only rent 3/2 Full suit wetsuits
Supsquatch and Megaledon rentals, only when surf conditions are conducive for a safe outing. Please specify it you need a life jacket.
We do not offer paddle board lessons (paddle boarding is lame).
We accept cash, credit cards, PayPal, or Venmo.

Supsqatch! This giant Stand up Paddle board is for everyone! Bring your own group or family, friends, co-workers, or we can add you to a group. Spend 2 hours touring Santa Monica Bay or riding wave after wave. Includes 5-10 minute lesson beach lesson, wetsuit, paddle, life jacket if requested, and a friendly Qualified SUP instructor to assist you. 1.5 hour tours.

ISLE Megalodon Multi Person Inflatable Paddle Boards. Take it for a tour or surf if you dare and experience the fun of paddling together with your crew. With enough area and volume, the 15’ easily supports 2-8 riders while the 12’ is ideal for 2-6 paddlers at the same time. Despite its huge size, its surprisingly lightweight and maneuverable; the 12’ can definitely be carried by one person while the 15’ model will only need two people. 17' SUPSquatch is good for
4-10 adults 6-16 kids. Max number of people varies with their size. Comes with a 5-10 minutes beach lesson. Life jackets and paddles are included in price. Rentals only, instructor not provided, Instructors available for hire, highly suggested.
